Metele Ltd is a start up ofUniversity of Insubria. The company was founded in 2008 with the aim of responding to the complex problems raised by the entry into force of the REACH Regulation. In the following years, considerable expertise has been consolidated in addressing the issue of Risk Assessment as broadly as possible, a key element of any activity aimed at protecting human health and the environment. Attention has therefore turned to environmental and health components as emerging criticalities: the projects developed are dedicated to epidemiological monitoring and evaluation of the health impact for new industrial plants and infrastructures of various types, to the toxicological and eco-toxicological evaluation of substances for industrial use for preventive and regulatory purposes, for industrial hygiene and environmental impact assessments of industrial activities. Melete employs an inter- and multi-disciplinary team, made up of toxicologists, chemists, doctors, biologists, experts in occupational and environmental hygiene. The approach used tends to be that of applied research, useful for the development of new tools and strategies to tackle complex problems.
